Mamelodi Sundowns right back Grant Kekana says he has settled in well at his new club with the help of close friend Aubrey Modiba.
The 28-year-old joined the Brazilians from Tshwane rivals SuperSport United after penning a five-year contract deal at Chloorkop.
Sundowns further bolstered their squad by acquiring the services of Pavol Šafranko, Thabiso Kutumela, Divine Lunga, Neo Maema and Sifiso Ngonbeni.
Kekana admits that his friendship with Modiba has helped him greatly to settle into his new environment.
“It feels good, it’s always nice moving into a new environment with familiar faces, I think [that] has also helped me to gel with the boys,” Kekana told his club’s official website.
“[Our friendship is] good, inside and outside of football because there are also a few community projects that we tend to partner up with. I think our relationship goes even beyond the football aspect.”
Over the course of his career, Kekana has scored five goals and assisted a further eight from 224 appearances in all competitions playing for the likes of University of Pretoria FC and SuperSport United.
