Mamelodi Sundowns captain Hlompho Kekana is well aware of the threat Kaizer Chiefs possess with the likes of Leonardo Castro and Gustavo Paez in their squad.
The Glamour Boys will be hoping to close the gap on log leaders Sundowns when the two sides meet at the FNB Stadium on Saturday.
Kekana has warned his side not to underestimate the threat Amakhosi possesses going forward with the likes of Leonardo Castro and Gustavo Paez in the team.
‘We’re playing Kaizer Chiefs in FNB Stadium, so we’re going to give them the respect. They can hurt you, and they’ve hurt us in the previous two matches,’ Kekana told KickOff.com.
‘They’re capable of winning matches anytime, any day. So, as players, we’re very aware of their threat, especially Castro, Paez – their front three.
‘Whenever they play us, they play like the Messi’s and them, so obviously we want to prevent them from coming into our box.
‘And, like I’ve said, we just have to be cautious when we play Kaizer Chiefs. We lost twice in the last two matches we played, so we can’t be naive and go there and open the match like we used to.’
The mouth-watering Absa Premiership fixture at the FNB Stadium kicks off at 20:15.
