Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune has been pleased by the club’s back-to-back victories and insists the outfit are hungry for more.
Chiefs have bounced back from a slow start to the season with consecutive victories over Highlands Park and Maritzburg United as they distanced themselves from an abject start to the season that saw them take just a point from their opening two matches, while they were also dumped out of the MTN8.
‘We have won two games in a row and that’s good for any team,’ Khune told the media, reports SoccerLaduma. ‘I think we have turned the corner and everyone in the team is hungry for wins.’
The captain also explained that the Glamour Boys are ready to resume their assault on the title this season following a poor 2015-16 that saw them end the season trophyless.
‘That’s why we got these two wins midweek and weekend. We want to continue this way and fight until the end,’ Khune concluded.
Chiefs are next in action when they face Free State Stars in the Premiership on Wednesday.
The action gets underway from 19:30.
