Kaizer Chiefs coach Steve Komphela believes Colombian striker Leonardo Castro is the answer to Amakhosi’s goal-scoring woes.
The Glamour Boys were forced to share the spoils with SuperSport United after playing out to a 0-0 draw at the Mbombela Stadium on Saturday.
Komphela says that he’s been happy with his side’s defensive work rate after keeping nine clean sheets in 16 games and believes Castro can help Amakhosi become more clinical in the final third.
‘Our defence has been solid and if we can be more clinical at the other end of the pitch and put away our chances with greater regularity, we’ll be well on our way,’ Komphela told his club’s official website.
‘We believe a player like Leonardo Castro will help us with that.’
Kaizer Chiefs will now welcome Polokwane City to the FNB Stadium when the two sides lock horns in the Absa Premiership on Saturday, with kick-off set for 20:15.
