Kaizer Chiefs coach Steve Komphela urged his side to improve their performance and become more consistent in winning games as they head into the international break.

The Glamour Boys are now in fifth place in the Absa Premiership standings with nine points, trailing log leaders Baroka by six points.

The 49-year-old coach believes accumulating nine points from seven matches is not good enough for a team of Chiefs stature and he has now called on his side to improve their performance to become more consistent.

‘Nine points from seven matches is not good enough for Chiefs,’ Komphela told his clubs official website.

‘We have to improve drastically and make sure we become more consistent in winning our games.

‘Nothing but winning will convince our supporters. We simply have to work even harder to get back to winning ways.’

Kaizer Chiefs will next take on Mamelodi Sundowns at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium on 17 October when the Absa Premiership returns following the international break.
