Mamelodi Sundowns attacker Anthony Laffor says he is delighted to be back in the squad following injury setbacks this season.
The Liberian international recently returned from his knee injury and managed to claim a goal and an assist in Sundowns’ 4-0 victory over Al-Ahli Benghazi to help them advance to the Caf Champions League group stages.
Laffor insists he is humbled by the support he received from the club, and has recovered from his injuries.
‘I want to thank the coaches and also want to thank my teammates for being supportive throughout the season and I am very humbled,’ Laffor told the media.
‘I keep my feet on the ground and I just want to keep working hard for this team.’
‘I love them too. Not only today, but [they] always sing my name when I am [on the] bench or when I come as a sub and that shows all the time at Sundowns.
‘They appreciate me and [I] also appreciate them. It’s not easy when you are not playing, but people still sing your name, its not easy. I am very humbled.’
