Former Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns winger George Lebese has reportedly stepped up his search for a new club with the January transfer window approaching.
Lebese has been without a club since parting ways with Downs in September and has found it difficult to secure a contract at a new club despite being unattached and a free option for the PSL’s elite.
Lebese is highly rates in a lot of circles but has not been playing regular football since departing Chiefs. His time at Downs was notoriously tough, while he also struggled while on loan at SuperSport United at the back end of last season.
Despite not having a club for a number of month Lebese has not given up on his career with Soccer Laduma reporting that the player is working hard to keep fit and to be ready should the opportunity arrive at a new club.
‘George Lebese is working hard in training, whether it is raining or not he is out there pushing himself,’ said a source close to the player according to Laduma.
‘He’s got a fitness trainer helping him, and the other players around Jo’burg without contracts, including Letladi Madubanya.’
