Orlando Pirates striker Zakhele Lepasa has spoken out on the coronavirus pandemic affecting South Africa and the rest of the world.
South African recently followed the rest of the world by calling a halt to the 2019-20 football season due to the coronavirus outbreak in the country.
Lepasa has now urged people to work together to minimise the threat of the deadly virus.
‘As we are trying to get through this period, let’s take care of everyone we love and those around us. Try and educate as many people as possible about this coronavirus pandemic. This affects each and every one of us, therefore we all play for the same team, as the world we are one. It is important that we try to work together to shorten the time that this virus exists and spreads. The sooner we do that, the more chances we have of everything going back to its normal state soon. Together we carry the responsibility to help our country and the world to get through this. But even with all the difficulties and the abnormality of our daily lives, don’t forget to make the best out of every day. Stay safe,’ Lepasa wrote on social media.
