Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed that forward Emmanuel Letlotlo will be sidelined for six to nine months, after suffering a knee ligament injury during pre-season training.
The 21-year-old forward, who was promoted to the Amakhosi first team during the 2016-17 season, managed to feature six times for the Soweto giants in the Absa Premiership and MTN8 respectively.
The Amakhosi medical team has now confirmed that the young forward has injured his knee ligament.
‘Letlotlo hurt his knee during training,’ according to the medical report.
The medical team revealed that Letlotlo ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) during training, while preparing for the upcoming season.
‘He will undergo surgery, which is scheduled for Friday,’ concludes the medical report.
The Gauteng-born forward is expected to be out of action for at least six to nine months, following his surgery.
