Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Neo Maema says his main objective for next season is to contribute more during the 2023-24 Premier Soccer League season.
The 27-year-old has had a successful second season with Sundowns in which he cemented his place in the starting lineup and played a crucial role in helping the club lift their sixth consecutive DStv Premiership title.
He also contributed to 12 goals, including seven goals and five assists in 39 appearances across all competitions.
Following an unforgettable campaign with the Brazilians, Maema has already outlined his objective for the upcoming season as he is determined to take his game to the next level.
“My highlight was when we celebrated winning the league with seven games to go, the other one was to play in the CAF and actually doing very well,” Maema told his club’s official website.
“Our Coach [Rulani Mokwena] was telling us that we actually went to Caf and haven’t lost any game, even though we went out, but that was the highlight and character of the team, and how we kept it together.
“My goals for next season is to put more goals into the net and actually make sure that we go forward.
“I still need to go watch my games, write new stuff and make sure that I get those stats up, those goals and assists to help the team and that’s what I am looking forward to.”
