Former Mamelodi Sundowns and current Golden Arrows winger Kudakwashe Mahachi has dismissed claims that he is set to join Soweto giants Orlando Pirates next season.
Earlier this season, media reports said that the former Mamelodi Sundowns had penned a contract with Pirates, making him eligible to play for them in the 2018-19 Absa Premiership season.
The highly-rated winger, however, denied these claims by categorically stating that he has a contract with Arrows.
‘Things were hard when I was out [through injury]. It was frustrating to see my team struggle without being able to help. But I’m happy to have returned before the season ends,’ Mahachi told Daily Sun.
‘What makes me even happier is that we have won our two matches since my return. Now we only have one thing on our minds, securing that top eight spot.
‘We have worked hard in our last two matches to be where we are right now.
‘Before those two wins we were in the relegation zone. So we will fight with all we have to win the derby [against Maritzburg United] and secure our top eight spot,’ he concluded.
