Egyptian giants Al Ahly have reportedly agreed to sell Phakamani Mahlambi to Absa Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns.
Masandawana’s pursuit of the 20-year-old has been well publicised over the last month with Al Ahly slapping a €2-million price tag on the player while also admitting that the Bafana Bafana star wanted to leave the club.

Mosimane then admitted they were interested in Mahlambi, but probably wouldn’t be able to afford him.
The Downs coach was then asked on Thursday if the club were looking to bring in any reinforcements before the South African transfer window shuts on 31 August.
The coach responded that they were looking to bring one player ‘back home’, hinting at who they were pursuing and mentioned that it would be announced soon.

According to Al Ahly’s website, the club has agreed to the transfer of the 20-year-old.
The same report suggests that Downs will pay $900,000 for the deal, with Bidvest Wits receiving $300,000 and the Egyptian club receiving $600,000.
The Bafana Bafana star joined Al Ahly from Bidvest Wits in 2017. He, however, failed to hold down a regular spot in the side, making only 15 appearances for the club.
Sundowns are yet to confirm the transfer, but an announcement seems imminent with the South Africa transfer window slamming shut at midnight on 31 August.
