Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Kabelo Mahlasela says he is relishing the chance of making his debut for the Glamour Boys following his injury setback.
The 27-year-old has recently returned to training with Amakhosi after recovering from his knee surgery.
Mahlasela admits that being sidelined through injury left him frustrated, but he insists that the support he received from his friends and family motivated him.
‘I was frustrated because of not being able to play, but the tremendous support I got from my family and friends helped a lot,’ Mahlasela told his club’s official website.
‘I am glad to be at a club that has the kind of medical care as Chiefs have,’ he added. ‘I feel good because I am getting better every time at training. My confidence is returning as well.
‘I don’t know how it will be when I get into match situations but I will be ready when the time comes,’ Mahlasela concluded.
Kaizer Chiefs will next take on Free State Stars when the two sides lock horns in the Nedbank Cup semi-final at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday, with kick-off set for 8:15pm.
