Chippa United has confirmed that head coach Dan Malesela has been discharged from hospital, after he was hospitalised due to a pain in his back.

After being admitted to hospital when he experienced back pains, Malesela missed the Chilli Boys Absa Premiership encounter against Bidvest Wits.

The 51-year-old revealed that he has recovered from his injury and is experiencing no pain He expressed his gratitude to the club and everybody who supported him during his days in the hospital.

‘I feel good. No pain. I am fine. I would like to thank you all for your messages,’ Malesela told the Chippa United website.

Malesela has been given a few days to rest, but will return to the club in time for their Nedbank Cup Last 32 tie against National First Division side Witbank Spurs at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Wednesday.

Chippa United against Witbank Spurs kicks off at 19:30.
