The source‚ who did not want to be named‚ revealed that the powers that be at Chippa held a meeting to discuss the firing of Malesela following a poor start to the 2018-19 season for the Chilli Boys.
Malesela, in an interview on Metro FM on Tuesday evening, revealed that he was unaware of any said meeting and that he had not been informed of any decision to fire him.
‘I have been through this kind of process at Chippa before‚ and I would not be surprised if it was true‚’ said the Chippa United coach.

Chippa signed 15 new players in the off-season including the likes of Daine Klate.
With reinforcements coming into the club, expectations were high at the start of the season, but Chippa lost their first two games of the season (2-0 away against Bloemfontein Celtic and 1-0 at home against 10-man Orlando Pirates) and followed that up with a 2-2 draw against newly promoted Black Leopards.
There has been no official communication from the club, as this story is likely to develop over the next few days.
