Kaizer Chiefs midfielder George Maluleka believes he can add to his tally by squeezing in a few more goals this season.
The central midfielder scooped the Absa Premiership Goal of the Month award for December for his spectacular strike against SuperSport United at the Mbombela Stadium.
Maluleka admits that he is well aware of his role as one of the leaders in the team, as he captained Amakhosi under Ernst Middendorp in the absence of Itumeleng Khune and Willard Katsande.
‘A lot of responsibility is passed on to me and I’m always grateful to contribute, though there are quite a number of us who shoulder that responsibility,’ Maluleka told his club’s official website.
The 30-year-old is hoping to bang in a few more goals to help his side in their bid to claim silverware this season.
‘I have a lot of goals in me,’ he added. ‘It’s just that with the position I play, I never really find myself in good goal-scoring positions.
‘I can probably squeeze in about three to five more goals.’
