Kaizer Chiefs midfielder George Maluleka says he is relishing the chance to get a positive result against Highlands Park at the FNB Stadium on Saturday.
The Glamour Boys currently sit third in the Absa Premiership standings with 30 points, having won eight of their last 17 matches played so far this season.
The 28-year-old says he remains positive that his side can walk away with all three points against the Lions of the North on Saturday.
‘It will be a difficult game, but we will be looking for a positive result. It’s all about the mindset,’ Maluleka told the Kaizer Chiefs website.
‘We always enjoy playing in Durban. Both teams will be eying three points on Saturday. It will be tough. It will be XI against XI. However, we will work hard to get the result and make a statement.’
The Glamour Boys have now gone five games unbeaten in a row and Maluleka has heaped praise on Willard Katsande’s contribution to the team, while also insisting that Amakhosi have a more positive mindset this year.
‘I enjoy playing at the number 8 position. However, my good form also has a lot to do with the guidance I get from Katsande. He has been tremendous. He talks so much to me during the 90 minutes. To be honest, he shouts at me,’ he added.
‘Not much has changed. It’s just that our mindset has taken a different direction. The mindset is now more positive. We also have a clearer understanding of what we want to achieve.’
Kaizer Chiefs will welcome Highlands Park to the FNB Stadium when the two sides meet in the Absa Premiership on Saturday.
Kick-off has been set for 18:00.
