Kaizer Chiefs physiotherapist David Milner has confirmed that midfielder George Maluleka has returned to full training following his calf injury.
The 28-year-old with his calf muscle strain watched from the stands during Amakhosi’s 1-0 victory over Highlands Park at the Moses Mabhida Stadium over the weekend.
Maluleka has so far made 16 appearances so far this season, playing in the Absa Premiership and Telkom Knockout Cup respectively.
The club’s physiotherapist has revealed that the midfielder has returned to full training after being sidelined with his minor injury.
‘It was a minor setback and George returned today to full training,’ Milner told the Kaizer Chiefs website.
Milner has also confirmed that Tshabalala picked up a knock in their clash with the Lions of the North and will be assessed in the upcoming days.
‘It was evident that the red-hot Siphiwe Tshabalala was a heavily marked man in the Highlands Park game and, as a result, ‘Shabba’ came back with a knock. We will assess him for the next few days,’ He added.
Meanwhile, Amakhosi will be without defender Lorenzo Gordinho after he picked up his fourth yellow card of the season in Durban, while Erick Mathoho served his one-match ban and will be available for selection against the Urban Warriors.
The Glamour Boys are currently placed first in the Absa Premiership with 33 points, having won nine out of 18 matches played so far this season.
Kaizer Chiefs will next travel to Athlone Stadium when they take on Ajax Cape Town in the Absa Premiership on Saturday.
Kick-off has been scheduled for 20:15.
