Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed that George Maluleka will be leaving the club when his contract expires at the end of the season after he turned down an extension to sign a pre-contract with Mamelodi Sundowns.
The midfielder has been locked in negotiations with Amakhosi over a number of months, but it has been to no avail as the club confirmed on Wednesday that he turned down a two-year extension with an option for another year.
Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane revealed after Saturday’s exit from the Caf Champions League that the club have already signed three new players ahead of the new season and Maluleka looks to be one of them, although Downs are yet to confirm it.
