Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Lebogang Manyama insists he does not want to disappoint the Amakhosi faithful as they look to lift the Absa Premiership trophy at the end of the season.
The Glamour Boys were sitting top of the league standings with 48 points from 22 games before the campaign came to a standstill due to the coronavirus pandemic in South Africa.
The 30-year-old, meanwhile, has been one of Amakhosi’s standout performers this campaign and managed to score seven goals and assist a further nine from 22 appearances across all competitions.
However, Manyama has reiterated that the Soweto giants will make their supporters happy at the end of the campaign as he do not want to let the Amakhosi faithful down.
‘We will not let our fans down. This break affects a lot and will take a toll on us,’ Manyama was quoted by DailySun.
‘I don’t know when we will be back, but it is difficult. We have been at the top the entire season and now this.
‘But there’s nothing we can do. We just have to wait until it is safe for everyone.’
