Ajax Cape Town coach Stanley Menzo admits that he has been impressed by Aubrey Funga and Sameehg Doutie, who are currently on trial at the club.
Funga and Doutie are currently on trial with the Urban Warriors in the hopes of impressing Menzo into handing them a professional contract with the club.
The 53-year-old says that he has been equally impressed with the progression of both plays on trial with the club.
‘The two trialists, Aubrey and Doutie, I think they did well – especially Doutie. He knows the Ajax way of playing so for him it was easier. Aubrey, you can see that he has things that we can use,’ Menzo told the Ajax Cape Town website.
However, Menzo says he will be hoping to improve his side’s decision-making during the match as they prepare for their next Absa Premiership battle against Bidvest Wits on February 7.
‘Decision making has to be better, that part I can’t tell you, but it is a decision you have to make. I can put you in the situation, but you have to make the right decision,’ He added.
‘The last 20 minutes against Highlands Park, we were tired which is normal- so you have to make better decisions; keep the ball longer as a team and don’t go for your own success because from that the whole team can suffer.
‘Those things we have to work on and it has to be clear that we have to wait for the right moment.’
Ajax Cape Town against Bidvest Wits kicks off at 19:30.
