Orlando Pirates has revealed that goalkeeper Brighton Mhlongo is set to miss out their mouthwatering Absa Premiership clash against Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday.
Mhlongo had to be stretchered off the field during their goalless draw against Platinum Stars after suffered a leg injury on Tuesday.
The 29-year-old is now due to undergo a scan to determine the full extent of his injury, according to the Orlando Pirates website.
The Bucs medical team have confirmed that the Buccaneers shot-stopper will not be available for selection when they lock horns with defending Absa Premiership champions Sundowns on Saturday.
The Buccaneers coach Augusto Palacios will now have to choose between Jackson Mabokgwane and Siyabonga Mphontshane, in the absence of the injured Mhlongo.
Meanwhile, Issa Sarr also looks set to miss the clash due to his respective injury he suffered against Dikwena and the midfielder will undergo a late fitness test.
The match at Loftus Versfeld Stadium kicks off at 15:30.
