The Glamour Boys will take on Soweto rivals Orlando Pirates in their respective quarter-final clash at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday.
Amakhosi have already played Pirates once this campaign when they suffered a 2-0 defeat in the Carling Black Label Cup at the FNB Stadium at the start of the 2019-20 season.
However, Middendorp is confident that his side will get the job done against Pirates and strongly believes that the Chili Boys will do the same against Sundowns.
‘Players like Eric Mathoho and Lebogang Manama are like new players because they were not available for us last season. That is what has made the difference for us this season,’ Middendorp told the media.
‘I will also be at the Sundowns match on Sunday when they play Chippa in PE [Port Elizabeth] but I will be there to watch Chippa United because they will be our next opponent.
‘I prefer to watch a match at the stadium compared to watching it on TV. The TV cameras always focus on the ball and they don’t show everything I want to see from an analysis point of view.’
Kaizer Chiefs against Orlando Pirates kicks off at 3pm.
