Kaizer Chiefs coach Ernst Middendorp has confirmed that forward Khama Billiat will not be made available for their upcoming clash against Bloemfontein Celtic.
The Glamour Boys are set to face Celtic in Durban when the two sides go head-to-head at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in the Absa Premiership on Saturday evening.
Amakhosi will go into this clash on a seven-game winning run in the league, meanwhile, Celtic are on a five-match unbeaten run.
Middendorp has revealed that Billiat is currently in the process of recovering from his injury and will only be made available for selection when they take in Maritzburg United on 22 December.
‘We have an advantage of squad selection, we can make a big thing about it but I think it’s not, it will open a number of questions,’ Middendorp told the media.
‘The fact is that Khama Billiat is not available. We put him on a rehab, treatment recovery. We heard about it after we had to take him off after the beginning of the second half against Stellenbosch.
‘He hasn’t been on the field for five days and won’t be on the field for a week. He will probably be ready on the 22nd of December against Maritzburg United.
‘All other players are available. We had some little knocks after Cape Town but everybody is available. We hope we have the right decisions and combinations against Bloemfontein Celtic on Saturday.’
Kaizer Chiefs against Bloemfontein Celtic kicks off at 8:15pm.
