Kaizer Chiefs coach Ernst Middendorp has confirmed that Khama Billiat, Bernard Parker and Reeve Frosler have returned to training.
The Glamour Boys are set take on Maritzburg United in their final Absa Premiership clash of the year at the Harry Gwala Stadium on Sunday.
Amakhosi have had a couple of days to recover, while the Team of Choice recently fell to a 2-1 defeat by Mamelodi Sundowns in the Telkom Knockout Cup last weekend.
However, Middendorp received a boost after Frosler, Billiat and Parker returned to training with the first team.
‘We had some injuries after the Bloemfontein Celtic game, with Reeve having picked up a huge shoulder problem, but he started training for the first time on Tuesday. I can’t really say much more about it,’ revealed Middendorp.
‘We took Khama Billiat out after not being with us in Durban after the Stellenbosch game and he started training with the team too – we have to look into it.
‘We also had to take Bernard Parker out because of irritation over several weeks with his ankle issues, and he started training on Tuesday as well. So, I have to look into it.
‘Another two players that we sent to the Multichoice Diski Challenge match came back on Tuesday – Ngcobo and Njabulo Blom – and we’ll get a bit more information.
‘But at the moment, I expect that each and everybody is prepared for selection [against Maritzburg on Sunday].’
