Kaizer Chiefs coach Ernst Middendorp has praised his new signings on their integration into the team ahead of the new 2019-20 Premier Soccer League (PSL) season.
The Glamour Boys recently announced the arrival of Lazarous Kambole, James Kotei, Samir Nurkovic and Kearyn Baccus.
The German mentor put them through their paces as they look to get them fully match fit for their opening Absa Premiership encounter against Highlands Park next month.
However, Amakhosi will, as part of their preparations for the 2019-20 campaign, play in a pre-season friendly match against Botswana’s Township Rollers at the Jamali Stadium in Tlokweng on Saturday, with kick-off scheduled for 2:30pm.
‘The four new guys have been working hard and we believe they will adapt quickly to our system and hit the ground running because we don’t have much time,’ Middendorp told his club’s official website.
‘We have been working on the players’ mental strength and teamwork which will see them communicate better in all departments.’
Kaizer Chiefs take on Highlands Park in their opening Absa Premiership fixture of the new campaign at the Makhulong Stadium on 4 August, with kick-off set for 3pm.
