Kaizer Chiefs coach Ernst Middendorp believes Khama Billiat deserves to be praise following his contributions to the teams success against Golden Arrows on Tuesday evening.
The Glamour Boys claimed their third successive victory in the Absa Premiership after securing a 2-0 victory over Arrows at the FNB Stadium on Tuesday through a converted penalty from Daniel Cardoso and an own goal from Nkosinathi Sibisi.
The victory saw Amakhosi move four points clear at the top of the league standings with 19 points after claiming six wins, one draw and only conceding one defeat from their first eight games so far this season.
Billiat had a hand in both of the goals on the night and Middendorp heaping praise on the Man of the Match recipient for his impressive performance.
‘If you look at the contribution Khama made against Arrows, I can safely say I give him full marks,’ Middendorp told his club’s official website.
‘He contributed to a team performance and deserves my praise. This is what we expect from the players. A team performance is what we need from all our players.’
The Soweto giants will be involved in two friendly matches against Mamelodi Sundowns and Bloemfontein Celtic during the Fifa international break.
‘We will use the upcoming friendly matches in the Shell Helix Ultra and Macufe Cups to get the other players who have not gotten the nod yet up to speed,’ he added.
‘The players will want to use these friendly matches to demonstrate their readiness to be in the line–up.’
