Kaizer Chiefs coach Ernst Middendorp relishes the chance to unleash his side against Mamelodi Sundowns in the Absa Premiership on Sunday.
The Soweto giants moved one step closer to ending their trophy drought after beating Cape Town City 4-2 on penalties at Cape Town Stadium to advance to the quarter-finals of the Telkom Knockout Cup.
Amakhosi will now be hoping to extend their unbeaten run in the Absa Premiership when they take on rivals Sundowns at Loftus Versfeld Stadium this weekend, with Middendorp confident his side will be up for the challenge.
‘For now, it is a matter of quickly moving to prepare for the next match,’ Middendorp told his club’s official website.
‘We are looking forward to the short trip across town to face Sundowns.’
The match at Loftus Versfeld Stadium kicks off at 3:30pm.
