Kaizer Chiefs coach Ernst Middendorp insists that his side can expect more tough games ahead after dropping points against Black Leopards over the weekend.
The Glamour Boys were forced to share the spoils with Leopards after playing out to a 1-1 draw at the Thohoyandou Stadium on Saturday.
The stalemate has Chiefs remaining at the summit of the Absa Premiership standings with a seven-point lead over Mamelodi Sundowns, while Leopards occupy 14th place with 17 points after 18 games played.
Middendorp will be hoping his side can bounce back as they now turn his focus to their next game against Golden Arrows at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday.
‘It’s that time of the season where you see every team fighting,’ Middendorp told his club’s official website.
‘We are still going to see many of these sort of games. There’s a scrape for points now. Teams are looking at chasing the league title, some fighting to avoid relegation. So, it’s not going to be easy for all the teams.
‘We will take this point as a minimum from the match. We have to recover fast and get ready for our next match against Golden Arrows. It’s going to be another tough match, but at least the pitch should be conducive to play our style of football.’
Kaizer Chiefs against Golden Arrows kicks off at 3:30pm.
