Mozambique international Luis Miquissone looks set to reject the advances of Kaizer Chiefs and join Pitso Mosimane’s Al Ahly side instead, according to reports.
The forward impressed many with his form for Tanzania heavyweights Simba SC this season and caught the eye of both the Caf Champions League finalists.
Miquissone only joined Simba at the start of last year from UD Songo in Mozambique after a spell across three different clubs in South Africa, including at Mamelodi Sundowns who brought him into the country in 2018, but never used him.
According to KickOff.com, the 26-year-old has decided to turn down an offer from Chiefs due to his experiences in the country.
It is believed that Simba and Ahly have already reached a deal in principle for the transfer, with the move set to have Miquissone’s earnings double in North Africa.
It has also been reported that Mahmoud El Khatib, the president of Al Ahly, made direct contact with Miquissone to convince him to join the club, which played a massive role in his decision.
