Mamelodi Sundowns co-coach Manqoba Mngqithi is expecting a tough run of DStv Premiership fixtures with the games coming through “thick and fast” during the month of December.
The Brazilians recently extended their unbeaten run in the DStv Premiership to 13 matches following their 1-1 draw with Stellenbosch FC at the Danie Craven Stadium this past weekend.
Sundowns are set for a busy and difficult fixture schedule during December as they face six different teams before the end of the year, including Royal AM, SuprSport United, Baroka FC, Orlando Pirates, AmaZulu and Marumo Gallants.
Coach Mngqithi claims the December period is not only challenging for the Tshwane giants but for every other team in the league.
“I don’t think there is anything different in terms of the games that we are going to play, it’s going to be tough for everyone. The games are coming thick and fast, and they require a lot of depth,” Mngqithi told his club’s official website.
“Yes, the matches we are going to play in this cycle are very challenging but they are the matches you want to play so that you can clear your fixtures afterwards.”
