SuperSport United midfielder Thabo Mnyamane has credited the support of his teammates and technical team for his success during his first season at Matsatsantsa.
Matsatsantsa booked their place in the semi-finals of the Nedbank Cup, after they defeated Kaizer Chiefs 5-3 on penalties at the FNB Stadium on Saturday.
Mnyamane says he has adapted well at Matsatsantsa, but insists that he can still improve his performance, despite already scoring seven and assisting a further five goals from 29 appearances in all competitions so far this season.
‘I think the support and welcome from my teammates and technical team helped me to settle well. I’m not sure with the level of my performance. I still think I can do better,’ Mnyamane told Goal.com.
‘Everyone knows the quality of the players in the team. Everyone was able to settle quickly. It didn’t take long for me since pre-season to know I’m part of this team,’ he added.
‘For an individual, it helps a lot if everyone welcomes you well into the team. So the support from the guys have been very, very positive and I appreciate it each and every game, each and every day,’.
SuperSport United will now go head-to-head with Bidvest Wits when the two sides meet in the Absa Premiership on Tuesday.
The match at the Bidvest Stadium kicks off at 19:30.
