Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Teboho Mokoena has expressed his gratitude towards his teammates, coach and club after he was named PSL Footballer of the Season.
The 26-year-old was the big winner at the 2022-23 PSL award after he walked away with top honours, including the PSL Footballer of the Season award and DStv Premiership Midfielder of the Season award.
Mokoena has played a key role for Sundowns this season after he helped the club secure their 13 league title and a record sixth consecutive title.
The Bafana Bafana made also contributed to four goals, which includes two goals and two assists in 38 appearances across all competition during the 2022-23 season.
Mokoena also reserved special praise for coach Rulani Mokwena, who put in the work to help the club achieve success this season.
“Hello Masandawana, I am Teboho Mokoena and I would like to take this time to thank you for winning the Footballer of the Season (award),” Mokoena said.
“I would like to thank you for the support you hive us through good times and bad times.
“I would also like to take this opportunity to thank my teammates, technical team, everyone at the club, the Motsepe family, the chairman and the president.
“I would like this opportunity to thank everyone and also a special mention to coach (Rulani Mokwena) for the work he has done, we never take that for granted.”
