Free State Stars General manager Rantsi Mokoena believes Ea Lla Koto is ready to compete in the second half of the Absa Premiership season after securing five key signings.
Ea Lla Koto have completed the signings of Nhlakanipho Ntuli, Thabang Matuka, Simphiwe Mtsweni, Mohammed Anas and Allen Dorian Nono.
Meanwhile, Reabetsoe Rakoti, Tshepo Mothiba, David Booysen, Johnny Mathole, Brandon Dean, Hamis Kizza and Mohamed Aoudou parted ways with the club by mutual consent.
Mokoena believes his side are ready for the second half of the season after strengthening their squad during the transfer window.
‘We have made use of the window period and the Afcon break in making sure that we assess and sign five quality players to strengthen the team,’ Mokoena told the Free State Stars website.
‘The team is ready to compete in the second round of the season.
‘We were struggling to find the back of the net and we have brought in two quality strikers to help out Sekotlong upfront whose injury is coming well and should be ready in no time.’
Free State Stars will now take on Kaizer Chiefs in the Absa Premiership on February 7.
