Orlando Pirates interim coach Rhulani Mokwena insists he doesn’t feel any pressure, despite the Buccaneers’ recent drop in form.

The Buccaneers recently dropped down to eighth place in the Absa Premiership standings with nine points, 10 points behind log-leaders Kaizer Chiefs.

The Soweto giants have been struggling to hit form under Mokwena, having won just two of their first seven matches in the league so far this season.

However, Mokwena insists that his side are working hard to turn their fortunes around and repay the faith the club’s supporters have shown in them.

‘Pressure‚ no – it’s more passion than anything,’ Mokwena told the media.

‘I think the supporters can see we are giving the best we can and unfortunately when it’s your turn you just have to see yourself through.’

‘That is what we have to do – we have to be brave and we don’t feel sorry for ourselves.

‘We just have to be strong and keep going.’

Orlando Pirates will hope to return to winning ways when they take on Stellenbosch FC at Athlone Stadium on 26 October, with kick-off scheduled for 3pm.
