Orlando Pirates interim coach Rhulani Mokwena says his team will continue to fight to pick up as many points as possible but admitted that the team is still getting use to all the recent changes at the club.

The Sea Robbers face Benni McCarthy’s Cape Town City on Saturday at the Orlando Stadium looking to bounce back from last weekend’s 4-3 loss at the hands of Bidvest Wits.

The result left Pirates in 10th position on the Absa Premiership log but caretaker coach Mokwena believes that a repeat of the performance against the Clever Boys will see them come away with the three points more often than not.

‘I think if we play (in the same manner as against Wits), nine times out of 10, with the same standard of performance we would probably win the match,’ Mokwena told the media.

‘But it’s a work in progress, we’re integrating a lot of new players and we have changed structures slightly from what we played in the last two seasons.’

With 24 matches to play and 72 points still on offer the young coach is not ready to give up on their title ambitions just yet.

‘So, we just keep working and trying to make sure. There are 72 points left to play for, so we will continue to fight and make sure we gather as many points as possible,’ he concluded.
