Sundowns will be hoping to secure their place in the final when they travel to the Cairo International Stadium when they face the same opponents in the return leg on Wednesday, November 1.
Mokwena felt his side put in a dominant performance and controlled the entire game and believes they will do the same in the second leg.
“We had full control over the game, leaving the opponents with limited changes. I congratulate the fans for the victory and express my gratitude for the unwavering support,” Mokwena said.
“In the second leg, we must apply even more pressure, just as we did today.
“I want to emphasise that we are capable of scoring in the second leg.”
