Orlando Pirates assistant coach Rhulani Mokwena says they are well prepared for the Soweto Derby on Saturday, having studied arch-rivals Kaizer Chiefs.
Milutin Sredojevic’s side is set to do battle against Chiefs at the FNB Stadium with kickoff set for 15:30.
Former Mamelodi Sundowns assistant Mokwena says they have divided the pitch into portions as special preparation for the Soweto Derby.
‘We’ve been marking the training pitch this way for a while now,’ he said at a press conference.
‘It’s what influences our game model and tactical approach. Our education and learning from training allows us to play in a certain way on game day.
‘There’s a lot of detail that has gone into our analysis and tracking of behavioural patterns of our opponent.
‘They are well coached and we respect that. This game on the weekend will give us an indication of where our football is going,’ he concluded.
Pirates occupy the second spot on the Absa Premiership table – four points adrift of table-toppers, Sundowns.
