Joseph Molangoane celebrates his goal

Kaizer Chiefs winger Joseph Molangoane has fond memories of playing against Polokwane City, but maintains that the three points is the main focus when the two sides clash in the Absa Premiership on Saturday night.

Tight, as the skilful winger is known, maintains that the Glamour Boys are out for maximum points, despite falling out of favour in the title race after three consecutive draws in the league.

‘There are three points at stake,’ he told his club’s website.

‘We play every game to win and the match against Polokwane won’t be different.

The 29-year-old, who was previously involved in contractual battle with former club Chippa United, was handed his first starting berth against Rise and Shine in December 2016, and repaid the faith shown in him by Steve Komphela by netting his first club goal in the memorable 3-2 victory.

‘That first Chiefs goal was amazing. I can’t even express in words what I felt. It was simply unbelievable.

‘It’s nice to come home,’ he concluded.

The two sides face off at the Peter Mokaba Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 18:00. The encounter is a must-win for Chiefs if they are to maintain their pursuit of a third-place to enable them to play in the CAF Confederation Cup next season.
