Kaizer Chiefs defender Kgotso Moleko will be hoping his side can extend their winning run to three games when they take on Black Leopards in their next Absa Premiership fixture.
Moleko has been part of a Amakhosi backline that has kept successive clean sheets in their last two league games against Highlands Park and Cape Town Cit, respectively
The 30-year-old is pleased time have seen his side bounce back and claim back-to-back victories after suffering a defeat to SuperSport United in their first game of the new year.
‘We have teams chasing us,’ Moleko told his club’s official website. ‘So it was important that we won our last two games. We showed character.’
‘I am always happy to get game-time and it is good when you are able to come in and help the team get a result.
‘The objective is to do well and to keep clean-sheets in these last two games was a positive. The partnership at the back was good and so was the communication between us.
‘It will be crucial to manage the game. It will be a tough game physically, but we have the experience to play well in those conditions. We need to perform as we have done in recent times and if that happens, things will go our way.
‘We always say that we take it one game at a time which is important.
‘But we also look forward to go on an extended winning run – this is what we are looking at and it will be a test to see if we can manage that objective,’ he concluded.
