Kaizer Chiefs left back Letlhogonolo Mirwa

Letlhogonolo Mirwa became the 16th player to depart Kaizer Chiefs in recent months after the club confirmed his release on Tuesday.

Chiefs made the announcement via their Twitter account on Tuesday once the transfer window had shut, allowing Mirwa to search for a new club on his own as a free agent.

The 24-year-old left back joined the Soweto giants in July 2018 from ABC Motsepe League side Buya Msuthu FC.

However, he failed to break into the team and leaves Amakhosi without even a chance to make his senior debut at the club.

The club have also confirmed on their official website that Yusuf Bunting had  been released. With 16 players having departed over the last few months, Ernst Middendorp will have a smaller squad to deal with as they look to end their trophy drought.
