Kaizer Chiefs have announced the departure of Anthony Agay Akumu Agay after the club decided to release the player after initially wanting to sell the Kenyan midfielder.
Chiefs have been busy in the off season releasing several first team stars including the likes of Samir Nurkovic, Bernard Parker, Daniel Akpeyi and Daniel Cardoso.
The Soweto giants initially wanted to offload the player by placing him on the transfer list but they have now decided to release the player after a mutual termination of his contract with a year left on the deal.

Club Statement:
After initially putting him on the transfer list, Kaizer Chiefs and Anthony Akumu Agay have mutually agreed to an early termination of his contract. The contract was set to expire in June 2023.
The Kenyan-born midfielder joined Chiefs in January 2020 from Zesco United in Zambia and netted twice in his 47 appearances in all competitions for Amakhosi.
