Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has warned opponents that Gaston Sirino’s best is yet to come as the Uruguayan winger settles in with the Chloorkop based-outfit.
The 26-year-old has hit the ground running with the former CAF Champions League winners after joining the side in January, fitting in seamlessly alongside Percy Tau and Themba Zwane for Masandawana in attack.
Despite displaying his talents for the club – most notably with his array of tricks – Sirino is yet to get off the mark for the club, but Mosimane is adamant that he is inching closer to breaking his deadlock.
‘You haven’t seen [the best of] Gaston,’ he told the media. ‘He is still coming. Gaston scores goals. He is still looking for his first goal.
‘He is anxious to get that first goal. He was close against AmaZulu, Cape Town All Stars and SuperSport United.
‘I told him to relax, his goal will come. He is a good player.’
Sundowns do duty against National First Division outfit EC Bees in the Nedbank Cup last-16 on Wednesday at the Loftus Versveld Stadium with kickoff set for 19:30.
