Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has been named the Absa Premiership Coach of the Month for February, while Orlando Pirates winger Thembinkhosi Lorch picked up the Player of the Month gong.
Mosimane was selected the best coach of the month following the club’s impressive run of form that saw them go atop the Absa Premiership standings at the end of February- a period in which they gathered eight points.
During the month of February Downs enjoyed big wins over Black Leopards and Cape Town City, collected a point away at title-challenging rivals Bidvest Wits and when hosting Polokwane City, while they lost to AmaZulu during the period from 29 January – 27 February.
Lorch, on the other hand, was rewarded for his undeniably consistent form during February, during which he scored a crucial goal in the Soweto Derby and provided two assists in Pirates’ other matches during the month.
