Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane insists his side can expect a tough battle against Chippa United when the two sides meet in the Absa Premiership on Wednesday.
The Brazilians currently top the league standings with 43 points after 23 matches while Orlando Pirates occupy second place with 42 points, having played a game more than the log leaders.
Mosimane believes his side can change their fortune against the Chilli Boys just as they did against Cape Town City in the quarter-final of the Nedbank Cup on Sunday.
‘Now it’s back to fire now,’ Mosimane told the media.
‘It’s tough. We have a game in hand but games in hand don’t mean anything. Chippa always gives us problems.
‘But sometimes history can change. Like the history Cape Town City had over us [of beating us three times in a row]. Now, it has changed.’
Sundowns will now turn their attention back to the league when they welcome Chippa United to Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Wednesday, with kick-off scheduled for 7:30pm.
