Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane is not happy that players on the Baroka FC bench have disrespected Motjeka Madisha.

Sundowns missed the chance to move to the summit of the Absa Premiership standings after suffering a 1-0 defeat by Bakgaga at the Dobsonville Stadium on Sunday.

The result had the Brazilians remaining in second place and level on 53 points with Kaizer Chiefs, who also conceded a late defeat by Bidvest Wits on Sunday afternoon.

Mosimane was left frustrated after the Bakgaga bench showed unsportsmanlike behaviour towards Madisha in the first half.

‘A Baroka player disrespected Madisha, which was not good and most especially the players on the bench who were sitting there. You know, you are disrespecting somebody who was playing whilst you are sitting in the cold there in the stands,’ Mosimane told SuperSport TV after the game.

‘I don’t think it’s good, it’s bad. It’s not a good thing to do. But it’s OK, it’s part of football, we don’t have to focus more on that. That has not made us not to score. We didn’t score because we got the opportunities to score, we did not. We got the opportunities.

‘Ja, but this one was a different one. They have got Elvis Chipezeze who was a master of sitting, of killing the game. This one, I don’t know his name, I think Baroka they breed them, hey.

‘They breed these ones who don’t allow the play to go [on]. But it’s OK, they have to do what they have to do to survive. It’s OK. It’s not what made us lose. What made us lose is not marking in the box. But we keep going, this thing has a heartbeat. It’s still going. We’ll see how it goes.

‘I don’t know. I did not know the score because if you look at the game and your emotions, your mood changes to that game immediately. So I don’t know if they knew, I can’t know everything, probably they knew, you know players.’
