Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has likened the raw ability shown by new signing Phakamani Mahlambi to that of former stars Khama Billiat and Percy Tau.
The 21-year-old made a much-publicised move from Egyptian giants Al-Ahly to Chloorkop on transfer deadline day as Mosimane looked to replace Billiat and Tau.

Mahlambi made his debut this past weekend against AmaZulu and marked the occasion by grabbing a goal in the action-packed 3-3 draw.
Speaking after the game, Mosimane revealed that while he was impressed with the former Bidvest Wits man’s goal-scoring debut, he feels there is a lot of room for Mahlambi to transform from a raw talent into a star.
‘He was supposed to score and that’s why we have him here. He did well, first game, first goal, good.

‘I think he should have scored the other one in the first half again. He allowed the defender to come from behind and take the ball from him,’ added the Sundowns coach.
‘Good player, young, very, very raw. Very, very raw. He needs a lot of work and he reminds me of Percy Tau when he came. Even Khama Billiat, a lot of work.
‘Spending a year or two with me, I think we are going to get a better product for South Africa,’ concluded the 2016 Caf Coach of the Year.
