Kaizer Chiefs football manager Bobby Motaung has insisted that Andriamirado ‘Dax’ Andrianarimanana’s transfer will soon be completed.

News emerged after the South African transfer window closed on 31 August that the Glamour Boys had not completed Dax’s PSL registration despite unveiling the player earlier this month.

The transfer of the attacking midfielder from Malagasy club Fosa Juniors has proven problematic as his previous club looked to block the move, citing that he was still contracted to the club and demanded a transfer fee, whereas Chiefs believed he was a free transfer due to the amateur nature of the Madagascan league.

The transfer then looked to have been concluded as Chiefs unveiled the 27-year-old while stating that they were just awaiting the relevant paperwork.

Reports then emerged on Friday that the 27-year-old had, in fact, not signed with the club and hasn’t been registered with the PSL for the 2018-19 season yet.

Chiefs football manager Motaung, however, has revealed that the transfer is still on: ‘Dax is still a work-in-progress. The process of signing him is ongoing and should be resolved soon. We are optimistic that we will conclude the matter.’
