Orlando Pirates forward Augustine Mulenga credited the Buccaneers’ efforts after claiming a comfortable 4-0 victory over Bidvest Wits at the Orlando Stadium on Wednesday.

The Buccaneers have now closed the gap on log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns to four points after the Brazilians were held to a 2-2 draw by Maritzburg United at the Harry Gwala Stadium.

Mulenga, who was named Man of the Match, praised his teammates and coaches after their impressive performance in their match against Wits, played behind closed doors.
‘I thank God, the coaches for giving me this opportunity and I would like to thank the guys for the opportunity in today’s game. It was not easy but because of the effort we put in, we got the three points,’ Mulenga told SuperSport TV after the game.

Orlando Pirates will be hoping to extend their winning run when they take on Cape Town City at Cape Town Stadium on Saturday, with kick-off set for 3:00pm.
