Former Kaizer Chiefs striker Knowledge Musona has ruled out a return to the Soweto giants in the midst of rumours linking him with a move back to Naturena.

The 28-year-old Zimbabwe international has struggled to cement his place at Belgian Pro League outfit Anderlecht since his move from KV Oostende in July , registering eight appearances in the club’s 19 league games thus far this season.

This, coupled with the Soweto giants’ disastrous start to the new campaign, has resulted in rumours linking the man known as The Smiling Assassin with a return to his former club. However, the former Hoffenheim star took to social media to categorically deny a return.

‘To all my lovely Kaizer Chiefs supporters. The rumour circulating on social media is not true,’ Musona revealed on his Twitter account.

‘I never said I will not come back, but time will tell. Thank you for the love you have shown me, even if I left years ago.You deserve the best. Love Y’all ❤&✌????[sic]’.

With Anderlecht having recently sacked their coach Hein Vanhaezebrouck, following a string of poor results, there could be light at the end of the tunnel for the out-of-favour Musona.
